Lagos Guber race

ELECTION FEVER:          FASHOLA NO LONGER AT EASE
By Margaret Nongo-Okojokwu

Owning to the just concluded Presidential elections held across the country, which has consequently returned the Incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan back to the Powerful Aso Rock Villa, has seen the incumbent Governor of Lagos state, in a position one will
rather describe as “no longer at ease; this is because as it is often said, one can only boast of what one has overcome. Though the tides flows in his favour, the Nigerian Senior

 Fashola.

Advocate is not leaving any stone unturned, he has been up on his toes, organizing massive campaigns, ensuring that the hearts of Lagosians still lies with him. Although the PDP

Gubernatorial candidate for Lagos state Dr. Shamsudeen Dosunmu, may not have been considered an aggressive match for him, yet one will say “it’s not over until you win”.

However, it is no longer news that the Lagos state boss still holds the most popular side in the Nations commercial hub, the number of seats won by the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, in the just concluded National Assembly election, is a clear indication that Tinubu–led party, is indeed a force to watch out for, come 26th April; and of course in the year 2015.

Meanwhile, as the various states are preparing to roll out their gubernatorial candidates for the Governorship election in April, one can only hope that the ‘indefatigable’ INEC will play their part once again and give

Nigerians a reason to smile all the way through the next Republic.
But for Governor Fashola, it will only mean stating the obvious, in one were to say that Lagos state already has a Governor. For all you care, we may not need an election to decide that. His good works has said it all. So vote wisely.
